St Albans Cathedral with its stunning grounds, hosts the annual St Albans Film Festival. Launched in 2013 , the event offers a space for creatives across the globe an opportunity to showcase their work no matter how big or small. Creatives across the globe are encouraged to enter in their own works amongst the big block buster films, recognised documentaries and projects also shown throughout the event.
Design
Working together again for the 5th year since its launch we at vortex have worked together with The Cathedral to provide the event with all its filming needs right through from concept to delivery. We had a 8x5m Screen unaffected by the record breaking sunny days British weather delivering strong visuals with each film. State of the art L-Acoustic line array, the perfect sound system used to project sound across the space to cater for the 500 capacity. Also provided was a goal post truss structure custom built by ourselves.
Support
Working together with the onsite front of house team, Vortex events provided an experienced, a project manager was available throughout the event, as well as onsite security. An LED technician and Sound Engineer were also made available with a complete technical crew from setup, operation and pack down of the event, with minimal disruptions to the community as well as the heritage site grounds. It was once again an unforgettable film festival experience blessed with beautiful sunny days.
