The drive-in theatre or drive-in cinema is a form of cinema event, consisting of a large outdoor movie screen, loads of cars and a large parking area in front of the screen. Within this enclosed area, customers can view movies from the privacy and comfort of their cars.
The screen solution could either be a large projection screen or outdoor LED screen. A drive in cinema will need a much larger screen compared to standard outdoor cinema usually seen in this country. This is due to the cars having to be more spread out, so every one has a great view of the screen. Normally the movie’s sound is provided by speakers on the screen, we now use a more economical and easier to maintain method of broadcasting; a low output power FM radio signal to be picked up by a car radios.
