The St. Albans Film Festival has been going for 4 years and gives creatives across the globe an opportunity to showcase their work. We supported again this year by supplying an outdoor cinema solution that could operate all day long! As the there were lots of films to show and an audience of all ages.
This year, Vortex provided an outdoor LED Screen solution and L’Acoustics line array sound system for their new festival addition: a series of outdoor film screenings in the beautiful St Albans Cathedral grounds. Showing films such as “Inside Out”, “The Blues Brothers” and “Kong: Skull Island”, the performances were scheduled throughout various times of the days and evenings over 4 days.
Design
We put a lot of careful consideration into the location for this new feature offering at the cathedral in St.Albans, we finally agreed on its best position. Having full support of the council and local residents was very important to us. The audio system was fine tuned to ensure the sound stayed focused in our area and the screen positioned for optimal viewing by all.
Support
Our experienced technical crew ensured setup, operation and pack down was carried out with minimal disturbance to this public space. Working along side the front of house team, the crew made sure everyone enjoyed there movie experience.
