Described as the crown jewel of dance festivals, Creamfields has come a long way from it’s humble beginnings in 1998 when 25,000 people attended the first official festival under the ‘Cream’ brand in Winchester.

13 years on and Creamfields has grown to become a worldwide phenomena, holding dance festivals in more than 15 countries and celebrating it’s 10th anniversary by changing from a 24-hour to a 2 day camping format at the Daresbury Estate in Cheshire near Cream’s spiritual home of Liverpool.

In 2010 over 70,000 people attended Creamfields, and soon after it was voted ‘Best Dance Festival’ for the second year running at the 2010 U.K Festival Awards and ‘Festival Of The Year’ in the Music Week Awards.

We have been involved in some way shape of form for 6 years now with this festival and in recent years have been asked to supply LED Screen Via PRG XL Video. This year we were tasked creating a unique solution for a daring look…. 8 x 4m LED Triangles which are to be suspended over the crowd and automated using Kinesys motors.
With many screens not being designed to be hung vertically and Screen Weight / panel size being crucial factors to consider our Element Labs Stealth screen ticked all the boxes.

Stealth is a Light weight Low resolution LED screen that can now be rigged at any angle with the use of our own Special Stealth joiner which clips into the back of the tile. Because the panel size 400mm x 400mm we able to recreate the profile of the triangle with more resolution than that over many other tiles on the market.

A pre-build of just one triangle in our warehouse allowed us to prepare all the of the components for the building all 8 on site in the newest venue for creamfields – The Steel Yard.

This installation was a success with not only the in house VJ’s using the screen but also headliner acts being able to plug into it and incorporate their visuals into this huge installation.
